Over the next week we are celebrating female talent and artistes who work with Viva Live Music. As a leading entertainment company specialising in live musical entertainment, we love giving a shout out to our talent. We recognise that there need to be people ‘backstage’ or in the ‘back office’. Our star performer in this area is Nuria, who is our Marketing Manager.
Without this sounding like a job interview, we were interested to know why she was initially attracted to working with Viva Live Music. But also we were keen to highlight that the music business also needs talented individuals who are great at organising; checking and ensuring all of the arrangements go to plan. Nuria certainly does all this and more, to an excellent standard.
So Nuria: welcome and thank you for agreeing to be interviewed for our International Women’s Day celebrations.
What made you decide to join Viva Live Music?
I was interested on the fact that you were within the music business and I am married to a musician.
What is your background/experience in live music?
I have been involved in the music business for years due to my husband. He composes music and is a musician. I have been involved in organising events and marketing.
What are your plans for the next five years? Do they involve music in any way?
Yes. Still as a VA and dealing with musicians and composers through my husband.
